Champfleuri

Champfleuri is a Christian camp run in partnership with France Mission. It is located in the foothills of the Belledonne Mountains on the outskirts of Grenoble, France, site of the 1968 Winter Olympics. Only minutes away is the local ski area known as Les 7 Laux.

One of the International Teams missionaries who works at Champfleuri organizing and implementing camps all throughout the year, has been instrumental in organizing a French/American ski camp in the late spring for the last several years, bringing together French and American teenagers. The idea behind the multicultural camps is to encourage the French kids in their Christian faith and to let the unbelieving French see that there is something to Christianity. The Americans are encouraged to live their lives before the French so they can see their faith in action. Many French teens have no role models or any other Christian friends, so these relationships are very important to them. The missionaries have found these camps to be invaluable in teaching new teenagers about Christ and also in encouraging believing teenagers to be strong in their faith.

Camp des Cimes

Tom Guffey is the Camp Co-Director at Camp des Cimes (Camp of the Peaks), a Christian camp run by Greater Europe Mission, along side Marc Neddo. The camp is located about an hour from Grenoble in the French Alps. Tom and Marc open the camp to many groups throughout the year and has hosted the French/American ski camps since 2004. Tom's love of Christ shines through in his gift of pottery making, which he uses to illustrate the Gospel and God's Word during group times at the camp. Marc is gifted in many areas, including language translation during our meeting times.
